TankStockCalc provides estimates based on a published, transparent formula (see About & methodology). It is not veterinary, professional aquaculture, or any other form of licensed advice. Every aquarium is different — water chemistry, filtration quality, maintenance schedule, and fish health all affect real-world outcomes in ways a calculator cannot fully capture.

Use at your own judgment

Results are a planning aid. You are responsible for verifying species-specific care requirements before purchasing fish, especially for species not covered in our dataset (use the custom fish option and independently research minimum tank size and compatibility).
